Outbreak is another C#/XNA 3.0 2D game that I have recently developed. The idea for Outbreak started right after I finished up Bubble Blow and was originally intended to be another “game mode”. The idea sat on the back burner for about a year until I decided I should try developing Outbreak as a standalone Android application. I worked on this iteration of the game for a few months using Rokon, the only game engine for Android that existed at the time. Unfortunately the engine was only in alpha and beta stages and development was slow. I found myself spending more time fixing bugs in the engine than writing my game and I was beginning to get bored with this concept. Not wanting to give up on the project, I decided to try my hand at XNA development again, creating Outbreak as a standalone product but basing a lot of the framework on Bubble Blow. Download here.
